Install Apps from the Google Play Store
TestingBot allows you to install Android apps directly from the Google Play Store onto real Android devices during a live testing session. This lets you test production apps without needing the source code or an .apk file.
How to Install an App from the Play Store
To install an app from the Google Play Store on a TestingBot device:
- Go to the Live App Testing page
- Under Select Source, click Play Store
- Sign in with your Google account
- Search for the app you want to install
- Click Install and select a device to start your testing session
Requirements
- A valid Google account is required to sign in to the Play Store
- The app must be available on the Google Play Store
- Only available on real Android devices (and some Android emulators)
Limitations
- Some apps may not be available on all device models due to compatibility restrictions set by the developer
- Apps that require in-app purchases may have limited functionality during testing
- Your Google account credentials are only used during the session and are not stored by TestingBot
